Each of us contributes our own strengths, ideas and perspectives – and it's exactly this diversity that makes our collaboration so special. What unites us is not only our passion for wine, agriculture and the unique landscape of the Maremma, but also a deep mutual trust, respect and genuine appreciation for one another. The Head of the Crew - The visions – and most of the spontaneous ideas – come from Anna. Since moving from Germany to the Maremma, she has dedicated herself to developing Mustiaio step by step, blending tradition with new impulses. Between wine, organization, training courses, marketing, projects, bureaucracy and the occasional moment of creative chaos, she keeps all the threads together and makes sure ideas become reality. With great passion, a good dose of courage and sometimes a fine line between perfectionism and creative madness, she drives Mustiaio's development forward. Standstill simply isn't in her vocabulary. Supported by an experienced team and the people by her side, she pursues the goal of developing Mustiaio into a place where wine, nature, hospitality and the unique atmosphere of the Maremma come together.

Technical Manager & Oenologist - When it comes to wine, Alessio loves the details. From the vineyard to the cellar, he accompanies every vintage with expertise, patience and a trained eye and palate for quality. He's the one who'd rather check twice than once too few, making sure the character and origin of the Maremma can be found in every bottle. Mustiaio benefits from his more than twenty years of experience in viticulture and winemaking. With great passion, solid expertise and a fine sense for quality, he shapes the stylistic development of the wines and plays a key role in bringing out the unique character of each vintage. But his responsibilities go far beyond winemaking. With his eye for detail, his structured way of working and his patience, he supports Anna with the many bureaucratic challenges of everyday life in Italy. From administrative tasks and documentation to dealings with authorities, he handles many things behind the scenes, playing an essential part in turning new ideas and projects into reality. Whether in the vineyard, the cellar or the office – Alessio is someone you can always rely on.

As a true Maremmano, he knows the region, its people and rural life like few others. For him, agriculture isn't just a job – it's a passion that has stayed with him since childhood. Beyond working outdoors, he treasures the traditions of the Maremma, its culture, music, dancing and the joy of coming together. His deep connection to his homeland and rural life shapes his everyday routine and makes him a true ambassador of the Maremma. Whether it's the tractor, the workshop, the vineyard or technical challenges around the farm – Simone gets things done. When something breaks, there's usually a bit of cursing first, but a solution always follows right after. With his hands-on skills, his practical mindset and his experience, he takes many everyday worries off Anna's shoulders and makes sure the farm runs smoothly day after day. Down-to-earth, always ready to help and never missing a chance for a laugh, Simone is one of the people who make Mustiaio a little more alive every single day.

Maintenance & Works Manager - The one who sees right away what needs doing

Calm, thoughtful and with plenty of experience, Igor has a particular eye for everything hands-on and practical at Mustiaio. Repairs, maintenance, renovations or new projects: he often spots what needs doing before anyone points it out to him.

With his practical skills, his experience and his calm, precise way of working, he looks after maintaining, improving and step by step transforming the estate’s spaces. Wherever something needs fixing, renewing or simply doing better, Igor is rarely far away.

A Belgian Sardinian who has now found his place in the Maremma too – and who enriches our team with his experience, his calm and his practical eye.

Jack of all trades - The youngest of the team

Kevin is the youngest member of our team – always with a smile on his face and never one to miss a joke. He lends a hand wherever it’s needed and, in practice, takes care of a bit of everything.

Curious and eager to learn, he happily takes on new tasks and is always there when an extra pair of hands is needed. He’s open, helpful, and never shies away when there’s work to be done.

With his constant good humour, his willingness to help and his easy-going, spontaneous nature, Kevin brings fresh energy to the team every single day.

Corte degli Ulivi

Just nearby, close to the archaeological park of Roselle, you'll find Corte degli Ulivi, an organic farm and agriturismo spanning 250 hectares of family-owned land passed down through generations. Surrounded by century-old olive groves and untouched nature, it offers comfortable accommodation in a lovingly restored 19th-century farmhouse and former stables. Just a short ride from Mustiaio lies CIAM – Centro Ippico Allevamento Il Mustiaio, a riding school and equestrian center located in Roselle, near Grosseto. The center offers riding lessons for all levels, a certified FISE pony school, equestrian therapy programs, horse boarding and training for young horses. Set amid the same rolling countryside that surrounds Mustiaio, it's the perfect place for horse lovers of every age to experience the Maremma from the saddle.
